New year, new start

To be honest, here at Clover Central we’ve been luckier than most in 2020. After all, we live in the Perthshire town of Crieff, with fresh air, friendly faces, wild country on our doorstep and beautiful views in all directions. It certainly makes lockdown more tolerable when you spend every day in a place that most people think of as a holiday destination.

Even so, the early months of spring were frustrating for Scottish bikers like us. All that glorious riding weather going to waste, with the five mile limit on travel! Our trusty steeds languished in the garage while we looked longingly at the empty roads. Once we were finally allowed out to play, we were again free to enjoy motorcycle touring in Scotland from our perfect base in Perthshire.

After every fabulous summer day out on the bikes, we were reminded of just how much wonderful biking is on our doorstep here in Crieff. That got us thinking. (There was plenty of time for that in 2020, wasn’t there?)

We realised that by riding day-long loops to the north, south, east and west of Crieff, riders can take in some classic biking roads and some equally classic Scottish scenery. String these loops together and you have a four-day touring route that takes in some of Scotland’s most famous locations and biking roads, with the luxury of coming home to the same bed every night. Add in some some magical little back roads that visiting riders might not discover on their own, and you have a real bucket-list adventure for bikers.

Motorcycle touring in Scotland is too good to miss. Chilling out in Crieff is the perfect end to perfect days on the bike. Welcome to the Crieff Cloverleaf! We’d love to see you on our amazing roads in 2021.
